 SIMPLE PAST 

Se emplea para hablar de sucesos que ocurrieron en el pasado, acciones concretas y finalizadas.

Affirmative form 

Sujeto + verbo en pasado + complemento 

EJEMPLOS 

She went to her friend's house yesterday

my dad asked me to buy some groceries last week

the students did an excellent job with homework

last night, Robert listened to music very loud


Negative form 

Sujeto + did not/didn't + verbo en presente + complemento 

EJEMPLOS

He did not study for his exam last time

Janice did not play soccer with her team an hour ago

The teacher didn't come to school

we didn't watch the movie on tv yesterday

Interrogative form 

Did + sujeto + verbo en presente + complemento + ?

Respuestas: 

Yes, sujeto did 

No, sujeto didn't 

Did she read the text book for the class? yes, she did.

Did your friend come to visit you last weekend? No, he didn't.

Did the party finish late last night? yes, it did.

Did Alice talk to you two days ago? No, she didn't.
